Although it looks like the end-goal of these developers is to create an otoscope for home use in order to reduce clinical visits for ear infections, I would buy this in a heartbeat as a physician for clinical use. Not only would it reduce some of the discomfort and difficulty (for both patient and doctor) with an otoscopic exam, it would allow physicians to cheaply and easily capture images of the ear canal and tympanic membrane.
